Could Probiotics Prevent Chemo Brain?

Chemo brain is a known chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) that patients may encounter.

In a recently published study, the impact of probiotic supplements on CRCI symptoms was tested among 159 breast cancer patients receiving adjuvant chemotherapy.

It was reported that patients who took the probiotics during treatment experienced chemo brain less often than those who received placebo capsules.
