In my role as the Chief Technology Officer of a pioneering digital health company, I am continually exposed to discussions regarding the benefits—and the fears—that surround AI’s role in healthcare.
One of the primary reasons healthcare providers hesitate to integrate AI into patient care stems from the perceived lack of control over the information that AI provides to patients. Those concerns are not unfounded. It’s crucial to recognize that generic AI solutions that have been successful for consumers—or in other sectors like sales or manufacturing—cannot simply be retrofitted to meet the rigorous and ethical needs of healthcare.
