An orthopedic oncologist is a physician and surgeon who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of primary benign and malignant tumors of the bones.
Dr. Ilya Iofin the Chief of Orthopaedic Oncology Service at Mount Sinai Hospital joined our service and will manage the group.
Dr. Iofin specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant tumors of bone and soft tissue in patients of all ages. The treatment ranges from minimally invasive procedures to extensive limb sparing surgeries.
Dr. Ilya Iofin received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. He completed residency in orthopaedic surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. His fellowship training in orthopaedic oncology was done at the Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University.
